IPD completed the MEP/FP engineering on this 185,000 SF warehouse expansion at Southern Glazer’s regional distribution facility in Syracuse, NY.
Some of the facility’s features include a sophisticated in-rack sprinkler system with over 13,000 sprinkler heads, automated control of heating and ventilation equipment and large diameter destratification fans with variable speed drives. Additionally, LED high bay lighting with occupancy sensors was estimated to generate $85,000 in cost savings based on electrical usage alone. The Owner received a NYSERDA energy credit totaling $45,000 and eligibility for federal tax credits estimated at $100,000 in tax deductions.
