The 33,700 SF Center for Surgical Services Expansion project includes 21,200 SF of additions and 12,500 SF of renovations. The project consists of new Surgical Suite with four operating rooms and two Class-2 Procedure rooms, a new ICU Suite with All Rooms and Behavioral Health Patient Rooms, a new Central Sterile Processing Department, sterile supply, new surgical waiting, Pre- and Post-Op (PACU) Suite, new main entrance, and renovated surgical staff support areas.

Infrastructure expansions included additional emergency generators, chiller, and associated medical gas systems. Three (3) new air handling units (5,000 cfm, 10,000 cfm and 20,000 cfm) and two (2) replacement air handling units (9,000 cfm and 14,000 cfm support the expansion. A 20,000 cfm temporary air handling unit was installed for phasing to allow continuous operation of the multiple floors within the hospital. The project was completed with complex phasing, allowing the hospital to continue operations throughout construction.
