Liberty Central School District
IPD provided professional Engineering services to support Johnson Controls Inc. in documenting building energy performance improvements identified through their energy audit for the Liberty Central School District.
The energy performance measures are identified in eleven categories under Facility Improvement Measures (FIM) and included, Lighting Retrofit (interior/exterior), Building Envelope, Pipe & Valve insulation, DDC Controls, Boiler Replacement, Boiler Burner Replacement, Water Conservation, Plug Load Control, and Computer Power Management. IPD provided the complete engineering and design for the boiler replacement FIM at the high school which included conversion from existing oil fired, fire tube boilers to dual fuel condensing type boilers. The primary fuel will now be liquefied propane which required a complete underground LP tank, piping and control system design to support the new high school boilers and burner conversion at the middle school boilers.
