IPD was hired by Johnson Controls to document energy improvements their company had designed. As part of that, the High School and Middle School’s boiler plant were targeted for conversion from fuel oil to propane to take advantage of higher efficiencies in the fuel combustion. Our team provided drafting and tech support for assembling there information and engineering design for a complete underground Liquefied Petroleum (LP) storage and site distribution system to support new high efficiency condensing duel fuel boilers at the high school and burner retrofit at the middle school to allow for the primary fuel to be LP for a slight increase in burner efficiency
IPD helps keep K-12 facilities safe for students, from assisting with building condition surveys and five-year plans to supporting major districtwide capital improvement projects.
