The Catskill Recreational Center is the vision of the Gould family and their desire to give back to a community that has supported them for 5 generations. The 19,400 SF family focused recreational center includes a competitive size swimming pool, locker room, community meeting spaces, fitness center and lounge. IPD was tasked with designing infrastructure that would minimize operating costs. We answered the call by designing a geothermal HVAC and pool heating system, a solar domestic water heating, a photo-voltaic electric generation system, energy recovery ventilation and LED lighting throughout.
